Oh my. On the one hand we can respect Josh Weiss' descion to remain at his post, on the other hand didn't he accept the possibility that he might have to move up when he took the job?

Tough call.

Should his bill pass who are some possible Presidential candidates?

We would have said Laura Gonzalez right off the bat but that's out. Mike Patrone maybe but we doubt he'd accept it. Kevin Reilly is a likely candidate. Who else?

When John Boyles washed his competition away. After it was all said and done most of the bloggers on here were dead wrong in almost every prediction they made. That says a lot about us people, essentially that we don't know what the hell we're talking about. When I say we I include myself (although I was right on the money about that whole Susan issue), the majority of bloggers on here, and of course the Alligator.

So who among us people who haven't got a clue wants to offer a prediction on the run off? My money is on Mosely. In the next week I think you'll see all the Greek houses who jumped ship come creeping back in quietly, yet loudly supporting Ryan Mosely in the hopes of making amends and still getting a seat at the table. If I was John I'd take their support and when it was over tell them to quietly kiss my ass.

Of course John's a much better man than I.

I hope you all caught the Alligator this morning. I sure did and boy do I feel vindicated. Where was it...oh yes here it is, "it's the outright lies ("She was only there to raise a flag to Jared in the hopes he'd consider her for treasurer.")." That was a quote from my main man Virgil (who was in turn qouting me). He claimed I was lying about my speculation concerning Susan's comments and the motives behind them. Turns out I wasn't so wrong after all. Virgil I'll expect a written apology and flowers.

So Susan is running, I was right you all were wrong. Hopefully I am also right about my thinking she will lose. We will see won't we? I am curious on one point however, why is she running as an independent? Or is she just playing the same song and dance Jared played last night. By independent meaning "non-Greek". We will have to wait and see I suppose, but if Susan wants any chance of winning at all she'll try and jump on Jared's ticket.

Speaking of Jared though the Alligator in its usual commitment to the truth and objectivity has once again not let me down. The piece discussing Susan's bid mentioned, "the Spanish American Law Students Association before it spent $137.50 of tuition-funded SG money on a pig for an off-campus tailgate party. " This is a far cry from earlier reporting placing the blame not on the Spanish American Law Students Association, but on Jared. Now here just a few short months later he's not even mentioned.

I guess we know where that endorsement is headed.

It's all Greek to me

I must say that had to have been one of the most productive sessions I believe we have ever had. Too bad they all can’t be like that. So then what do we discuss after such a productive session? Perhaps the fact that we apparently will be dealing with a new treasurer before we deal with a new treasurer. So then what to say on the matter? I have no interest in speculating as too why Ms. Cossimi elected to resign. It is her business and if she chooses to share it with us that is her prerogative, and not our concern until she does. So the question remains who then will it be? I have no clue, nor do any of you I would imagine. Of one thing I am certain, whomever Ms. Cossimi recommends to us will be given a fair evaluation from both parties provided that;

they are not Greek
they have no Greek friends
they have never been to Greece
they have never eaten a Greek salad
they have never seen the film My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

Because God knows if any of the people recommended fail to meet those qualifications many people in Impact will not be pleased, chiefly those Impact party members who blog on here.

I had not planned on posting anything until we got back from the break, but duty calls.

Whatever you all think you know, forget it. Cause trust me you don't.

I am not Devin Renner. Devin Renner is not me. I am not The realsg. If Devin Renner is The realsg, I'd be surprised but I would not care. Afterall he didn't mention me on the list.

I still believe The realsg to be a woman. I've even heard one or two other names tossed around as possible candidates. Like I said though really not my concern.

I just wanted to post something on here so those smug and arrogant "tools" out there who think they've got me or anyone else for that matter pegged....well keep fishing if you feel it's true. Cause at this point you're just plain wrong.

I will not go quietly into that good night.

Despite a great deal of embarressing threats made by Dante's guide, and a series of incorrect guesses as to my identity, I am still here.

Still fighting the good fight, and making sure the the world of UF's SG blogs is not quite so....one sided.

After all we have to keep things fair and balanced do we not?

So where to begin this week? Should we discuss the drama of last week? Who is that masked character behind the realsg? The general consensus among us is that it is a woman yes? I have my guess, but others think differently. Will I be brave enough to announce who I think it is?

Not today.

At least not until we see if our masked woman reemerges? I'm thinking right now shes done for good. At least under that name. We shall see and time will tell.

So then what else? How about last nights events? Not to exciting, went by preety quickly considering how many bills we had to address. The one moment of drama came at the hands of Senator Martin. I must say (since many of you believed him to be I must compliment him in kind) Senator Renner's retort to her whiney ramblings was very choice.

"The "S" in SG stands for student" Ba Zing.

It seems to me there is often more division between grad students and undergrad then there is between Gator and Impact. Although one could argue the two are largely the same with a few exceptions.

In any event Senator Renner was right and Senator Martin was wrong. Let the faculty, TA's included deal with their own problems, we arent here for them, and we arent supposed to represent them.

Moving on, last week I spoke of the crucifixion of Ally Cullin. Well this week there was a new person on the cross. A Ms. Kane who was clearly out of her element was nearly brought to tears by some of you savages. Yes we understand that there have been problems with voting, yes we understand that family housing needs better access, however this girl was not to blame for problems of the past, and she hadnt even been approved yet before she was attacked.

I can understand asking her about her qualifications, and I can understand about asking her how she is going to handle upcoming and current problems, but perhaps the next time we are set to approve someone we could do it more in the manner of an interview and not an interogation.

I will say this though, if she cant handle a little heat from the senate she should not have accepted the post. I mean think about how the Alligator is going to tear into her? We all are well aware of their committement to the truth, they should definitly give her a fair shake.

In closing, I hope to see many of you at the Christmas party tonight, and for those of you I do not, have a wonderful...whatever you celebrate.

Such a cry would have made sense last night in Senate. We watched as Ally Cullin was sent to Golgotha and made to die for the sins of R&A. That they should not perish but have ever lasting life.

A little to dramatic? Yes. Nevertheless she was sent up as the sacrificial lamb to the slaughter for doing someone a favor. As she bloviated following Senate your beloved blogger happened to overhear her rants that it was not even her idea to submit the petition, that she was simply following the rules. Who asked her to committ such a heinous act? Who knows?

Is she still a viable candidate for executive office in the spring? Doubtfull. Although shed get the full backing of the Alligator she doesnt have enough experience to run for President, nor does she seem to want it. She might make a good VP but is to polarizing and would quickly come to blows with her President. Treasurer? Same issue I would imagien.

It appears to be the same with Lola Bovell. Far to much drama surronds her, although it appears likely at this point Jared will peg her for one of the two spots shes burned to many people and made to many enemies to be effective.

The real suprise of the night came in the form of Susie "this is getting ridiculus" Henriques. I must echo Senator Prokes' comments. Yes Susie Q it is getting ridiculus. Why were you there? You arent a Senator anymore, you lost your bid for treasurer, and youve been fired justly from the finance office for running your mouth when you should not have. The sun has set on your political career at UF, its time to move on. Who the hell let her speak anyway? Wouldnt such an act require a suspension of the rules? I heard no such suspension.

She was only there to raise a flag to Jared in the hopes he'd consider her for treasurer.

Speaking of which I loved the op-ed piece in the Alligator today. The one that made Susie out to be a martry glazed over the initial issue with Jared in preperation for giving him their endorsement, and called us what was it..."childish and paraniod". This coming from the supermarket tabloid of college newspapers.

Who will in fact run for President in the spring? Right now there seems to be more theories than candidates. Lets break down the more popular ones.

1. Jared Hernandez- Obviously he is running, he's done little to keep it a secret. A more objective way of looking at it though might be to say Nikki Fried is running for a second term.

2. Lindsay Cossimi- Was and could have probably won, but for whatever reason isnt going to now.

3. Diane Kassim- Wants to run but probably realizes she doesn't have enough support to even really get on the ballot.

4. John Boyles- Is he or isn't he? John isn't talking to many, and those he does tell his intentions arent gossiping. I think if he does decide to go for it he stands a real chance.

5. Amanda Kayne- The only true SG outsider (for the moment) in the bunch. This will work both for her and against her. She will in all likelyhood gain the Alligators endorsement, which as before will work both for her and against her.

6. Finally the dark horse-the one who thinks with all these others in the mix he might just be able to split the vote and carry the whole thing. He fails to realize however that one, his former associations with Ms. Fried are going to hurt him, and two he's trying to split the wrong voting block. I think youll see little attention paid to this candidate if any at all. As soon as he announces it you'll know exactly who I am refering to.

Now who will these candidates pick for running mates? What of treasurers?

The battle lines are being drawn early this year. Not just for the election, already a certain group of senators want to play victim. Virgil speaks of "the will of the senate" and what he claims the majority wants. Perhaps he should check his math, the will of the senate and what the majority wants was passed last session when the rider was approved overwhelmingly.

As to Mr. Hernandez, I think his tide will soon turn. After all the Alligator is going to want to endorse someone. They seem to be on the same level integrity wise, and what God has put together let no man put asunder.
